I don't believe the dog is doing it to hurt but inadvertently my son does get hurt which makes it worse because to more the dog nips the more my son doesn't want anything to do with the dog which in turn makes the dog more excited when my son is around. We have told our son to "be a tree" or say ouch loudly when he nips, but with a 5 year old child consistency isn't alway a priority. Does anyone have any suggestions. |

Michele,
We also have a 5 month old OES female. She nips at me too. She will come up from behind nip my legs. My breeder told me to yell loudly, like her mother would do. It has helped some, but just yesterday she was in my chair and I sat with her. She niped me on my back. Not funny! I grabed her by the back of the neck like her mother would and it worked! She was the one who cried out LOL. She has not done it since then. Good Luck |
