Over in "Dogs in Trouble" someone posted that they are moving and can't take their 7 year old girl sheepie. Perhaps if you know someone who is looking for a sheepie, you can hook them together. An informal rescue situation.... |
You could also try joinging one of the rescues in a neighboring states. I'd recommend getting a mentor- someone who could help you through the ropes of starting up a rescue, as I'm sure there is a LOT of tough work involved, and there may be legal issues to deal with too (ownership rights of the dogs, how to handle adoption fees, where to foster, etc). GOOD LUCK!!! Let us know how it goes

i think it would be great, kaye from texas just dropped off an OES to me and someone else and then dropped one off michigan. the only problem is OES just arent very common around here. but i think it would be worth it even if you only save one. |
I am trying to buy a bigger house,it has almost a full acre of land.Plenty of room to add a "clean shelter type" area..My only real reservation is that I am affraid I will end up falling in love with all of them and not want to find homes for them..I am not able to do this right away..Of course I want to find out all I can,ins & outs so to say..I am trying to get a hold of my dad for the one deaf OES in Florida.. |
have you talked to kaye yet? shes been doing it for a while. shes very friendly to talk to |
