Melt 2-3 tbsp margarine in frying pan. Add dry bread crumbs (or, better yet, Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing crunched up into small pieces). Stir on high heat until the bread crumbs are browned. Cook and drain egg noodles. Add a little margarine to egg noodles and mix in the browned bread crumbs. Add a little salt and pepper to taste. Eat like a little piggy! |

(lots of carbs)
( I'm saving this recipe!) |
Mmmmmm That sounds so gooood! |
That does sound good!! |
I have a very similar recipe for cauliflower - first you steam the cauliflower then cook with butter and bread crumbs. The kids will actually eat the cauliflower that way! |
There is nothing wrong with carbs, people! They are necessary for a balanced diet. Everything in moderation.
That whole carb thing is so crazy--how do people expect to actually live without carbs for the rest of their lives. Might be a quick fix to lose a few pounds... Yum--recipe sounds good. Sue--yours sounds good too! I LOVE cauliflower! |
yummy...thats a im cold and need to warm up recipe...Ill save it for feb...its still 106... |
For added flavor, I would recommend adding garlic to the margarine (or olive oil) first to lightly brown.
And top off with some Parm cheese. |
You read my mind! I made these noodles last weekend for a family dinner and added some garlic and topped them off with shredded Romano cheese! Even better! |
The noodle recipe is real close to Kasha Varnishka. Instead you use kasha, which is buckwheat that you mix with one egg before cooking. Then over low heat stir until dry and individual grain. Add this to bowtie noodles, use butter to season. Oh heck throw in sour cream to season
Gee, I may have some stuffing and pasta.............and I just happen to have butter as I'm baking over the next few days...........dinner!! |
