My company has decided to donate all of our sales world wide on Monday September 5th 2005 to the American Red Cross for the hurricane relief. It was announced tonight at 7 pm by our CEO Jaime Coulter that not our profits but our sales in every one of our restaurants and chains will donate the whole day to the ARC.There will be a huge ad and article in the USA Today paper Friday morning. We are estimated to donate at least 6 million dollars in sales I think . this is a blessing so if you can do anything as far as visiting our restaurant on Monday it will all be donated. Our website is http://www.lonestarsteakhouse.com . we are also the owners of Del Frisco's and O"Sullivans and Texas Land and Cattle . We lost 4 restaurants in the hurricane 9 GM's 19 assistants and 391 employees whom we do not know if they are dead or alive yet .If my boss Eric had not come here a few months ago he would have been one of the victims.Just something to think about and to please pass on to your friends. Please eat at Lone Star on Monday or order a carryout |

What a great thing! We do have a Lone Star Steakhouse near us, and we're not planning anything for the week-end, so this looks like a winner!
Thanks, Gail! Chris |
How wonderful, Gail! There's not one here, but I think there's one within driving distance. Thanks for the info! |

Here's the website with the details. You can search for locations under each of the 4 brands. |
Very cool! Need a lot more corporations to step up to the plate.... |
It's a great gesture, and I hope that anyone living nearby will take advantage of the deal, have a good meal, and donate the value of the meal themselves, thereby doubling the value. But the key is in the title of your post: "nearby".
Don't forget to tip the waiter/waitress (in cash). However, if you live a distance away, perhaps it would be better for the country if you didn't use the gasoline to get to the restaurant right now. For instance, it's about 45 miles for me to get there. At 15MPG, that's 6 gallons of gas round trip, or more than $20, and the use of the gasoline to boot. Send the $20. |

Send the $20. Good idea Ron! Take it a step further, send the $20 gas money, PLUS the cost of the meal you would've had. If you send it directly to the Red Cross, you might mention Lone Star. |
I think this is so fantastic of Lonestar! I was wondering if the big oil companies would be doing the same thing! LMAO! Wouldn't that be wonderful? But I suppose that would be when sheepies can fly!
We don't have a Lonestar Steakhouse in Ontario, but I just wanted to applaud your efforts! It's so great! Good luck on Monday! I'm sure you will be busy! Colleen and The Gooch |

I'm a SAHM. This was on one of my baby boards. I just wanted to pass the info on so that more people could be informed. I'm sure they will be busy on Monday, but for a very worthy cause! |
I've passed the message to everyone on my email list. |
