Stupid Computer Question

Hey all, just wondering if any of you computer types know what program I should purchase so I can get all the important files off my computer harddrive? I'll be giving the computer to my mom so she can start fresh, and we have another computer already set up in my kids' room. I just want everything put on a disc, I suppose, appreciate any advice!!

You shouldn't need a program-- all you're doing is moving data and there are many ways to do it depending on how much and what type of files that you want to move. Do you know how much stuff you have? If it's only a small amount, and things like Word documents and pictures, you can move it reaaly easily by burning a disc of the info you want. Or are you looking for CD burning utility? Unless the computer is really old you should probably already have one installed. PM me if you want and I can probably help you through it.
