We drove 973 miles yesterday!!!!
We got lots of laughs at the rest stops, the big and the small!! I do find it annoying that "pets" are restricted to one area of most rest stops. Makes it difficult when you are stopping for meals (we cheated) at the rest stops. Both were a bit restless last night, first night in a new place and sleeping all day but I hope to tire them out today!!. Hope to get lots of beach pictures to share  |

| The price of gas is why we drove straight through, who can afford a motel at these prices!!! The cheapest gas was $2.99 gal in PA and the most expensive was $3.39.9 a gallon in Walterboro SC!! |
| Well, be prepared, cause ya ain't gonna find $2.99 in PA anymore! Since Tuesday night, most all of the gas stations around us have gone up anywhere from 50-60 cents! Most are at around $3.19 now. At least for today!
Figured out that with the mileage my van gets, and how far I travel to get to/from work, at $3/gallon, it is costing me $30/week JUST to get to work!  Told my boss I was gonna trade in my desktop for a laptop, forward my office phone to my home phone, and work from home!!

Gads, that sounds like drives my father's idea of a "vacation." 
Dogs are often better travelers than kids, they get bored and go to sleep. Have a good visit. I hope you will have gas to get home. Ditto cost of going to town is now eye opening! |
YAY! I'm glad you made it without too much stress! I bet Tasker and Ty were big hits at the truck stops!  I was wondering how you "cheated" when getting your lunch? Did you dress them up in the kids clothes and sneak them in?

| count your self lucky our petrol in the uk is 90p at the cheapest (about $1.60) a litre and there are about 4 of them to your gallon if not more
