| Another of our members lives in a town just outside of New Orleans, gumbo41, and though she and her children evacuated, her husband stayed behind with her dogs. Her husband may have ended up evacuating after all, but no word yet. Hopefully all of them are ok. |

| Awesome news!! My inlaws live down in florida,south florida and last yr WOW!!did they ever get pounded by the hurricanes.Its werid they come up every summer to see us,and last summer when they was on their way home the hurricanes hit,the same thing this yr,they left to go home Monday and darn if there wasnt another hurricane.Being born and raised down there in Miami,the whole time I lived there 28yrs,I went through 2 hurricanes,hurricane David in the 70's,then Andrew in '92,crazy how weather changes.Im so glad all is safe for your family!!hip!hip!hooray!! I would not want to live in a place that can destroy everything you have. I don't care what the weather is like most of the time. Insurance can't replace pics or other things. It will take years rebuild down there. I feel so sorry for all of them. Can you even think about what the pets are going through too. Deana |
