We're going to alaska Sept 2nd and coming back Sep5th. Our flight back is at a ridiculous A.M hour, so I don't know how we'll stay away, and with only a 50 min. break in-between stops, poor little Maltese will be going crazy. That's not enough time in such a big airport to let her outside to potty. Sigh. When I'm rushing her, she won't go on her potty pad either. She just knows I WANT HER to go, so she won't. ...she's half cat I always say. Yuki will go to the vet for the weekend. They're really good to her and she goes on 3 walks a day, and they brush her once a day, so... what more could we ask for. Oh yeah, and comes back with a horrible barking habit she got from all the other dogs, so that's something to look forward to. hahahhaa /sarcasm Oh, we're going there to look and buy a home. How about you? |

Ryan has his Surgery on September 2nd. So I am sure we will be home all weekend while he is recouperating. Oh well.... But who wants to be on the road on a holiday weekend anyhow?

Hubby, Friend and I are flying to Cocoa Beach Florida. We leave on the Thursday before and return on the Tuesday after. I can hardly wait!
Joah, looks like we are going to different climates for our vacation. I wish you the best of luck with your house hunting. I know that is no vacation, but it can be fun if you make it. |
I'm going to the beeeeeeaaaaachhhhhhh (can ya hear me singing!!!!!). My son's wedding has CONSUMED me all summer (could you tell ) and now it's time to take vaykay. My adooooorable Daddy lives on Edisto Island right below Charleston SC so me and daboyz (Doug, Tasker and Ty are going to head down for a week of sun and surf. Doug and I will head for the sun and surf, Tasker will stay in the airconditioned house with Dad and who knows what Ty will do, this is to be his first trip.
I grew up on Edisto Island and it's my MOST FAVORITE place in the whole world, it's where I go to RECHARGE |
Hubby and I are going up to visit my maternal grandparents. They live WAAAAAAYYYYYY up in northern MN, by the boundary to the BWCA (boundary waters canoe area). It's an 8 hour drive (and I hate car trips... oh well!), which we're breaking up by staying a night in Duluth, which is sort of the halfway mark. I'm really looking forward to it since I haven't had an actual vacation since our honeymoon last September! It'll be a great way to unwind before the house restoration/packing/moving madness begins! Good luck with house hunting! Let us know how it all goes You'll know when you find "the one", I sure did!

We usually go to a corn roast that my cousin hosts every year, but this year she's not sure if she is doing it, corn crop was not good this year and by September there may be little left, and higher priced. So, probably nothing...lol... except waiting for Joahaeyo to get back and post pics! |
Good luck finding a house!
My hubby has to work, so we're just going to have a normal day at home. |
We are staying home, because we leave for San Diego on the 17th...we'll probably do nothing since Brian has been working so much....lay low and grill burgers and have an ice cold beer!! |
I'm going to be spending the weekend getting used to a new shift at work. Looks like I'm getting moved to days and that's the perspective readjustment time.
Boo Hiss! Working in daylight is for the birds! Maybe they'll rethink it and leave everything how it is. That would be nice! At least holidays are quiet at work. |
Pepsi's Mommy, well maybe it will rain where you are. At least "for me" ...I don't feel so bad having to stay inside when it's raining. Sets the perfect mood, actually. Plus, staying home to watch movies wrapped in blankets (A/C turned down really low) is the best!
Betsy, oh my gosh. That sounds like so much fun. Wow. With a kid on the way, I can't imagine the word "vacation" coming around too often. hahahaha I'll cross my fingers that you have no delays or long lines! Darcy, that's my kind of weekend!!! Well, I can't have beer, but I'll take an appletini (sp?)! I was just telling my husband that I miss having a drink. I don't drink (3-4 times a yr), but when you don't have it... you want it even more. Willowsprite, I have no idea what a corn roast is. Sounds like everyone gets together, roasts some corn, and has fun being together? I can't wait to drive through canada in October! I have to get a new passport though! Tasker's Mom, wish you could take my maltese along for the ride. hahaha ...she'd like it a lot more than being left in the house all day w/no one around ...and in a strange place while we are out house hunting! Irisk, well since I know you're a sweetie... then maybe we can just trade places because I like YOUR house. hahahha I hate long drives too. I LOVE drives, just when they're longer than 4 hours, I start "sighing" every 10 minutes. haha Maxmm, for a short time in the military, we used to pull every shift. I HATED the changing from night to day! At night, it was all quiet and I could do whatever I want. So I always called into the radio stations to win free things. During the day, there was always someone there giving me a headache. |
Jo-
You can't HAVE my house, but you can come VISIT if you're ever in town!!! Get your own house I'm really excited- I just booked a bed and breaskfast for our stay in Duluth, to celebrate our anniversary! So we can really have a nice night on our way up north. We'll be right on the lake, in a suite! Yeah!!!! Enjoy yourself up in Alaska! Even if your on a tight schedule... Have you been looking at online realty listings? That's how I found my home... You should just put a sweater on the Maltese and get one of those Paris Hilton-esque bags and take her with your while house hunting. I'm going to guess they wouldn't even notice if your "purse" began talking! |
