So, this sets the mood. Since it has been hot out I have been trying to give more water to Barney and trying to do it all at once, rather than in little gulps. I'm fixing dinner with my back to Barney (facing the stove) and he nudges me with the tennis ball in his mouth. I say, not now, I'm cooking dinner. He runs around the island a few times, and I happen to look over at him, about 3 feet from me, only to see the tennis ball come flying at me (Barney has not moved). Barney has projectile vomitted (sorry everyone) his tennis ball (and water) directly at me! It was one of the strangest and funniest things I have ever seen with him... |

That is really GROSS and funny......yuck!!!! Poor Barney...poor momma for having to clean it up....He did miss the counter where you were preping, didnt he???? |
Ewwwwww! I hope none of it made it to the stove or in the food!
Drez has thrown up water like that, when she drinks too much at one time. Not a pretty site! Chris |
30 minutes before swimming, right? |

In order to avoid bloat, or gastric torsion, dogs, especially large breeds like our own OES, should be restricted from exercise just prior and for some time after a meal. I hvae always tried to keep them calm for an hour, but that can be tough! |
GOt to love it when they do that. After Bunkie and I go for a rollerblade or run she doesn't get a lot of water when we first get home. I learnt that the hard way. For a week her name was the exocist.

I try to control his pre-, during, and post-dinner activity, but it's hard! He looks at me and says, Gotta Run!

Yep, he missed the food, but my leg and the cabinets and floor were not so lucky! |
Lol. The same thing happened to me only I got hit with a wet stuffed donkey. You know you've been conditioned when you barely flinch and just start wiping up. Lately Clyde has been prefecting the silent vomit. Yesterday I was sitting on the back porch and he was next to me. James was standing up and went, "What is that in front of Clyde?" He had drank a quart of water and had a few mouthfuls of food and puked up a few pieces of bloated kibble about an inch from my foot. *sigh* |
It's OK, summer will be ending soon and we won't have to worry about all this mess from our kids......may autumn come quickly! |
It's really gross when they "yerk" up their water right on your feet. |
Better yet, when you are not around and don't know it happened and you walk barefoot thru the kitchen only to step in gooey water yerk. |
kitchen?? how about as you get out of bed??? |
OMG...I am laughing my head off! Only because GG is famous for this and I am sympathizing!

Yuck! Having done both, I think I'd rather step in that mess than to step on their cow hooves without shoes! Ouch!!! |
Ewww....but I couldn't help but laugh. What a funny image..
