Phoebe won't eat my food

I'm getting a little concerned that Phoebe isn't eating enough, or at all really...

She looks at the bowl of dry food and won't touch it... she'll have fresh chicken, grab stuff on the bench or try and eat the trash, but she won't touch the dry food, not unless i've mixed some wet food (or cat food) with it.. (the cat food worked best, 1spoon of mix with 1 cup of dry, gone in 2mins)

She's tried a kennel pack mix, IAMS, Eukanuba... i dunno what to do...

How old is she? I would be careful with giving her "people food" or you may have a problem. Is the kibble too big? Would it help to moisten it? Maybe she is a grazer and prefers to eat small amounts a little at a time. Is it possible to leave food down and see how much she is actually eating over the course of a day? If you have not had her long she may be just adjusting to her new surroundings.
Chumley didn't eat for several days after I got her - close to a week. Part of it was adjusting but also sometimes she was just too tired after a walk to eat. So now I tend to feed her before walks or I wait a really long time after the walk.
had her for 2wks now.

she does nibble a bit. perhaps a grazer. but she gets excited about peoples' food...

i guess if she's maintaining weight its not so much of a problem?
i don't want her to get constipated.
Just went back and read your other post's and realized she isn't a puppy. She may have had people food in the past and be a bit food spoiled. I'd just be patient. I don't think I ever saw a sheepie that wouldn't eat, eventually. Tasker was a grazer for the first 6 years. I left food down all the time. Then all of a suddn he started to put on weight and eat everything in sight so I had to start feeding measured protions.

I am a believer in dry kibble only, no people food or canned but some people mix a bit of canned food.
I totally agree with Tasker's Mom! She WILL eat the kibble if it's the ONLY thing she is allowed to eat! :D

We haven't given GG anything "people" and he is an angel when Grant and I are eating dinner, unlike my sheepies before him! They always got "scraps" and I created monsters!

Colleen and Gucci George=>MOMMY! Stop telling all the girls that I'm sweet and an angel! I want them to think I'm a bad boy, girls like that better!
Dancer wouldn't eat the first while either, both my dogs are just grazers and eat bits throughout the day.... they are both healthy and the right weight for their structure.
We got Barney when he was 6 months old and we were feeding him the same food that his other owners gave him and he didn't eat very much the first 2 weeks or so. What worked for us was to put about a tablespoon of cottage cheese mixed in with his food--we've never have him not lick his bowl clean after that! :P
Thanks for the tips guys (gals :p)
I caught her eating some eukanuba, so i'm less worried now.
She tends to like hunting around the house for 'people' food, she'll come inside, jump around like a maniac, then sniff around the house. When she doesn't find anything to eat, she'll come into my room and jump on the couch.
She tends to graze a bit, i refilled her bowl last night, just one cup of food, but i imagine that'll last a 2-3days, its chicken day tomorrow.

Kenny.
