Let not Jag's death be in vain. please sign this petition to the AKC to make it a fineable offense to leave a dog unattended on a grooming table at dog shows. Let not Jag's life be in vain. Thank you Please go to http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/jag and sign your name and forward this to any other lists, dog clubs or people you know. There is a signature goal of 250,000 but I'm pretty sure we, as dog lovers, can get easily more than that. |

Oh that is so incredibly sad. A google search reveals this page with more information about Jag's heartbreaking story:

The worst part of this is that the handlers were so uncaring about the whole situation and lied about what happened to Jag. I hope the owners get every penny of what they are suing for. Very sad. |
This is so sad! I just get so upset when things like this happen! And the unprofessionalism is appalling! Those poor owners!
I signed the petition and will send to all I know! Colleen and Gucci George |
What a horrible tragedy! For these people to call themselves professionals is beyond my comprehension. Sadly, I have seen dogs left unattended many times at shows, several times they have fallen off the table but someone(almost never the person showing them) has been able to get to them in time. At the very least these people should be banned by the AKC. |
Oh my gosh that is so horrable . I groom at the vet office I work for and Leaving dogs on a table is a golden rule Don't do it. I am so sad to hear this poor Jag . |
My heart goes out to the owners of Jag. I've seen groomers before, leave my dog at the table, to wait on someone at the counter. It just takes a second to turn a situation into a tragedy. |
That is sooo sad. I have to admit that I've done something similar. It was my own dog though. I never, ever left anyone else's pet unattended. I was bathing Sampson (my mini schnauzer), and I groomed him all the time. He got baths every week, and he had never even tried to jump out before. I had him noosed out of habit, and the phone to the shop rang. I went to answer it, took an appointment, went back to Sampson and he was hanging out of the tub. My heart just stopped. Thankfully, he was okay (it did knock him out though) and lived a good 6 years longer. That definitely taught me a lesson though - no matter how much you think you can trust them, don't leave them unattended. |
It is terrible. We have signed the petition and have followed this case since day 1. I ran a search recently and the Snyder's have a complaint filed in the better business bureau for animal cruelty. These people are not good for animals or the sport! |
