Sheepie Mom wrote: Is the normal behavior for an OES? He is 4 years old and our first one. He doesn’t even lift his head up to acknowledge us. He is walked twice a day, 2-3 miles. Gets super excited when he meets people however. I have had different breeds all my life and never had a dog that didn’t seem happy to see me. Does anyone else have this situation? My current guy will bark but sometimes doesn't come to see me, first one ever. |
Hector approaching 5 still greets me with a toy and wags and wiggles like crazy, even at 6 in the morning after night shift, he's different to me and my wife though when she leaves the house he has a right old whimper, whereas with me he'll lift his head up for a head scratch when I leave and just lay back down. Is there any chance he's hard of hearing? when my wife comes home he recognises the sound of her car and goes nuts running between the doors. Don't get me started when our son when he visits - he turns into tigger! As you may have gathered he's a mummy's boy (yes she's good cop I'm bad cop ie the one that does the grooming!) |

I love when they bring a toy to play! Hector brings a toy to greet you at the door? |
Yup, the daft thing is such a sweet natured idiot, unless I get the brushes out that is! |
Almost everything is normal about oeses...... Call him to you every time you come inside the house, then he gets used to the joy to meet yuo when he sees you, I suppose. When we show our happiness the do usely learn to show their too. |
