That today Archie went to the vets for his final long sleep He would have been 14 this coming Friday. The last two years have been very tough with him suffering from arthritis in his spine, he trooped on with his rear legs losing control and muscle as well as some loss in bowl control although this last month or so his bladder control has been exceptional especially considering his increased thirst. He never complained, he'd bark to ask to be helped but as of late he had bitten us a few times when we were assisting him up. Archie was my first dog and this is probably the hardest thing I have ever done. We were with him when he past and it was very peaceful. I miss you my big fella. Mark |

Hi Mark, I'm so sorry for your loss of Archie. Our Jake had the Degenerative Myelopathy of the spine as well, so we do understand. Thank you for being strong for him when he needed you the most. |
I am just catching up now and saw your post. I am so sorry for your loss. Even though he was a good age, it is still never long enough. |
