Feathers and Fleece has been discussed quite a bit. Just a quick search of the forum brings up this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=37059&hilit=Feathers+fleece |
Thanks Ron. I'm looking for a breeder in the Boston Area. Any recommend? |
I don't really personally know any of the oes breeders around here. There are breeders on this forum, and there is the OESCA breeder referral program. http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamer ... ferral.php My wife Joan and I just rescued a 7 month old boy from Tennessee to be our furbaby. |
No reputable breeder is breeding "micro"' OES. Please read the thread that Ron posted - F&F you probably want to stay away from. Really. ((Maybe not an oes? - if you are concerned about someone who fears dogs. Especially if you are looking for a puppy. Most oes pups are curious, boisterous, clownish, herding dogs.)) There are many rescues right now that you might want to check into. Good luck in your search. Shellie |
Thanks so much- I have found an OES rescue place in my area. |
Just a thought for you to consider. If your children are involved in the upbringing of a puppy (small) and watch it grow, I wonder if that would overcome their fear of larger dogs. This would be their own dog that they raised as a "small" puppy, that they will no doubt love to pieces, into a full grown dog. I wonder if they would overcome their fear that way. Just a thought. |
I think they would. OES dogs are so friendly and playful they would love it! Thanks |

Yes that's them!! |
Sorry! I thought you were looking only for breeders. My wife and I separately were both on NEOESR's board of directors for a spell. I would have been happy to refer you to them, they are all about the dogs and finding the perfect furever home for the dog! Good luck, I hope they find the right match for you soon! |
Thank you. I was looking for a breeder.. I didn't know an OES could ever be rescued. I can't imagine anyone giving one up! Thanks for all the support! |
