Brick can't put any weight on his RF paw. Painful to the touch. The vet says it feels warm. They'll x-ray the paw, then shave away the fur between his toes to look for an infection. |

3rd toe on RF paw is red & swollen. No broken bones. Possible infection, but no signs of drainage or drainage tracts. Vet sent me home with antibiotics (clindimycin). If no better after a couple days, will need to do sedated aspirates. He's currently just lying on the floor; no interest in water, food, or going outside. |
Any chance of a grass awn or thorn.......cracked toe nail? Poor guy, he's going through so much. Hopefully the antibiotic doesn't upset it other meds. |
How is Brick's paw today? Are the antibiotics helping? xx |
Poor Brick |
He's putting more weight on it today. He's walking a bit and he's gotten up by himself. So I think we're moving in the right direction. |
That's a good sign. Do hope he makes a good recovery, bless him. Give him a big hug from his English cuddling lady.!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
He seems to be doing even better today. He can go up and down stairs now, albeit slowly. |
Just catching up on the board after being away for a while. Both you and Brick have been going through the "wringer" lately. I am so sorry. I know how much you love your boys. Brick could not ask for a better "daddy" than you. |
