My 6 month pup is on Purin ProPlan puppy lamb and rice. Not the Large Breed just regular puppy. Its what the breeder had him on I tried to SLOWLY transition him to Nutro Ultra large breed puppy and it gave him very soft stools and eventually diarrhea. We have also had bad luck with Candidae treats. Our vet said the food just may have been a bit too rich for his puppy stomach so we may try again. We have also done Purina EN (from the vet)and I must say I think he still does better on the lamb and rice. He stools are firm and he still loves it. He loves food so he might still love it even if he hated it. But so far it has been the best for him and I wish I never strayed from what the breeder started! |

Sheepieshake I am wondering what you have cutie Wynn and Willow on? Did you stick with lamb and rice for her? |
I have found that Jameswellbeloved is the only kibble my sheepies have had ok tums on. Chicken and rice only-the lamb gives lose stools and wind so does the fish one. Have tried the large breed kibble but he gulps it down, is sick and has upset tum so stayed with the "maintenance" with added "bone goodness". We found this happened on our 2nd sheepie so 3rd and 4th we put them on JWB slowly from the breeder's food and they thrived. xx |
