First major snow of the season. And what a doozy.

Been snowing all day yesterday but didn't pick up until around 2 -3 PM.
Since then, we've had about 22 inches and it's still coming down.
Won't wind down until about noon tomorrow.

Ginger Zee from ABC's Good Morning America was reporting from downtown Syracuse this morning.

The boys had to get their winter legs back under them.
Proud of Brick. Even with his advanced age and weakened back end, he still attempted to bound around in the snow. He did pretty good and didn't get stuck.
He still loves plunging his whole head into the snow. Silly boy. :aww:

Wow!!!! I'm afraid this winter is not going to be a nice one. We had a Ground cover on Saturday. It looked like a blizzard at the Big House for the UofM football game.

So glad the boys had a great time in the snow. Mattie went outside and took a big mouthful right away. Always a snow lover.

Last night we had lightning, thunder, hail.........November 21st?? Normally it would be snow!! So we are sending more your way.

(and yes, it did snow in our mountains......so I'm not complaining, it contributes to ground water...eventually.)
We ended up with about 26 inches.
Broke a few records:

- snowiest November event
- snowiest November 21st
- 2nd snowiest November day
- 4th snowiest November so far

Just got a path on the deck cut to the yard for the boys, but the snow in the yard is too deep for them.
Gotta figure out what to do with the yard.
26 inches of snow???? My mind boggles. You live near Lake Erie, right?

Lake Ontario.

But this wasn't strictly a lake effect snow event.
It was more of a Nor'Easter with lake effect mixed in.

And while 26" is a pretty good snow for us, it doesn't really stop anything.
We're used to this kind of thing.

Hired a guy that does snow blowing.
He came to the house with his blower and cleared a big patch for the boys.
They were so happy to have grass under their feet.
