OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG FORUM MEMBERS (new and old) Some of us veterans are trying to resurrect the Forum during the holidays. We all had some really great times there. When we needed advice...we got it...When we needed support...we got it...AND...when we wanted love, compassion and acceptance..we are all there for each other. So..please try to stop by...post..and maybe stay awhile??????? |

| I never left.... hate facebook though. Just seems I have little of value to contribute that someone else hasn't beat me to saying. I really miss all the great conversations we use to involve in, even the contentious ones! Especially those!! But I fear that is why we have low activity. People often don't want actual advice they want someone to tell them they are right and that they are doing the right thing. Although that is most often someone who shows up as a guest and rarely returns, and then mostly just to stir the pot. I am a member of the facebook group, but I really hate it. Its all just feel good, pat my back, see how I suffer more than you, drivel. Not much of value in my opinion. Rarely differing opinions for fear of being kicked out. And let me tell you I have seen some of the worst advice given there! Sometimes quite scary. (probably nobody wanted to hear all that) BUT I AM HERE!! Shellie |

| RON!!!! I am sitting here reading these posts out loud. I am to tell you that vic-da-man really misses this group. We miss the friends we made here and we miss the daily news from around the sheepie world. But most of all we miss the chat section. Ron I especially miss you and your hilarity and sound advice. | All's well, DH is well, 7 months of chemo. Too bad they can't fix the scoliosis and arthritis, but what the heck. I'm slower too so not as active. Kensie sheepdog has more time with us, which she maximizes by begging treats; one peanut at a time. Dream of more dogs, but we do best now one at a time. Sure miss he 7 pack though. |

| I've never left.....But I went through a depression when my horse and both brothers died within 3 months. When I came back, everyone was gone. This is still the best board and I plan to stick around. |

A venue for venting about the injustices of BYB's....health/mental issues..shock collar or evil invention. invisible fencing yea or nay? flexi-lead?..dock or not to dock??? ( that was heated post(s)...with many many..  's? and the very very oldie but goodie, which has NOTHING to do with dogs/cats or mountain lions...."""getting pregnant after getting my tubes tied"""""  ~AND IT MUST BE MENTIONED, one of our most popular and most replied to...thread.Many, many, many.....have met face to face because of this forum. From initial contact here, I, personally have thought, many times...I would love to meet this person and form a real friendship..which I have been able to do many..many...many time!!! Thank you Ron!!!!! What site/link/ 'service' would I (or you, or you) have gone to for advice/ suggestions/ opinions about~~your dog eating, drinking something that ended up with tummy problems? or the other side of the coin...behavior problems....housetraining problems..... WELL~~I think you all get my drift!!!! I am so glad many have returned to a forum that have formed so many trusted friendships!!!! It's like reuniting with a long lost gradeschool or highschool bestie..and wonder...how/why did we very stop being friends???? and knowing you will never allow it to happen again!!!!!!!!! |
