It's Brick's half birthday today
Brick is 12.5 years old today. His weight is down (~48 lbs, down from about ~60 lbs) and his back end is a little weak. He's still eating the same amount of food he always has, and he's drinking normally. He can still run, but at a slower rate. Can still climb stairs, albeit much slower. Still enjoys his walks and car rides. Don't know how much time he has left, so I want to celebrate as much as possible. Love this guy.  Here's some new pics fresh from the groomers:     |

| Well, his age and weakness didn't prevent him from going "4-leggin" in the snow this morning. We had around 20 inches of snow overnight and he was plunging right in to the deep snow. It was up to his back. And then he'd bury his head right in the snow. Silly boy. |
| And he has ANOTHER half birthday today 13.5 years old today. Wow. Cannot believe he's made it this far. Considering all the health issues and weakness. He's down to 36 lbs now. If it wasn't for his fur, he'd look really skinny. Back end is pretty weak nowadays, doesn't always eat the best, doesn't run or bark or jump anymore. Wears a pee band now. Might be a little deaf and weak in sight. May have some CCD. But he keeps on plugging. He can still get up & down by himself (most of the time). Still meets me by the door or comes to me when I get home. Still kinda likes his toys. Still likes his walks (very short nowadays). |
