Quick question about training

Is it ever too late to get our babies professional training? I have had a busy year, never too busy for Kobe (he loves car rides), he is doing well, but he is lacking in some areas; like drop it, come, get down (he also hates to be brushed). I just want to make sure training at almost 2 years would be beneficial, or if we should just keep working with him at home. Or should I just buck up and do both?

I know some would think me a horrible mommy, but he had to be reacclimated and learn trust. We believe he was beat, neglected and that it caused him to withdraw  . He is such a wonderful, happy, :D slobbery puppy and all I want to do is right by him.

Thank you all.

Yes! Definately! It's never too late and don't believe that saying about you can't teach an old dog new tricks! If that were the case people would cease to learn new things too.

I've adopted 6 rescues over the years and each one was taken to obedience school. I'm a big believer in them! Lots of people adopt older pets from shelters or rescues and still go to obedience classes no matter what the age of their dog.

Good Luck to you!

GG and I have been going to obedience classes since I got him, there is always an older dog or two there from our local shelter with their new families! I think it is so great for all involved that they are there!

I'd go for it!
