Im so scared to have her around my 2-yr old. so far, attacks have been limited to dogs, but I can't take the chance it's my child the next time. Does anyone know of a good trainer in Knoxville? Or... What I don't want, a place that can help me rehome her to someone who can care properly for an OES with hip dysplasia? I just need a solution. I want to keep my fluffy baby. She's good 99% of the time... |

You should be able to call your vet this morning and get the name of a couple of trainers that will come to your home and work with you, both your dogs and your child. EVERYONE. It sounds like something is getting overlooked and maybe an outside person can pinpoint it right off the bat. Good that you are making the effort to help and not just giving up on your fluff ball! I'm sure there is a positive way to handle this so you can keep her. Certainly keep your 2 yr old out of harms way but hopefully with some help if Molly is just taught how to handle certain situations she will be fine. |
Thanks. We found a place, I think. UT veterinary medicine takes into account animal behavior and medical conditions, which would be ideal for us. I think a lot of Molly's aggression may be a result of her being in pain. This is so hard, because we really hoped to have a fluffy friend for a little boy. But now we spend all of our time making sure that they are separated because of fear that she might injure the little one |
