With the help from Ron who's sorted my account out as I forgot my password and login (silly me!) I'm back!!! Not much to update at the moment though Other than Bloo is fine. Having some itchy skin problems but we are under the Vet for tests for allergies etc. Have to go back next week for check up. Oh and we are going to start back at agility too soon I hope! We gave up showing ages ago, we both found it boring. Bloo loves to do his agility and be moving so hopefully soon we can get back into it! Speak soon!! Sam |

Welcome back! |
Thanks Kim!! |
Will try and remember how to upload photos later |
Welcome back! Yes, agility is a lot more fun for an active dog. |
Welcome back! Can't wait to see some photos of Bloo in action. |
Agility is a lot of fun for you and Bloo. Good luck on the course. |
Welcome back! We'll have to share stories soon as to what works regarding dogs with itchy skin. My Sally girl seems to have the same issues off and on with her skin. I suspect it's food allergies and am ruling out things to see if this is the case. Gotta luv those THUMP THUMP THUMP sounds in the night while the pup is scratching herself. |
its good week to be welcoming back old friends!!! Its great to see you posting again! |
Welcome back, old friend! Hugs to you and Bloo! Laurie |

Glad to be back posting too! As for the itching - he's on tablets but is going back to Vets next week. Next step is skin and blood tests. He's pulled so much hair out and his skin is all funny We've cut out food allergy so it's either external or internal problems we think I'll keep you updated!! I'll upload pics later |
Sounds like mite - check it out. |
Hi guys, sorry not logged in being super quick Bloo went back to Vets last week went under sedation and they did several tests - skin, blood, allergy and mites. We are back Thursday to check up and see if any test results are back. In the meantime he is on antibiotic and steroids to stop the crazy itching - which seem to be helping!. Hopefully we will find out from something just exactly what is causing it. He did mention mites we have treated him against them but he mentioned a deep burrowing kind which you won't kill or find? Sounds so creepy! Hopefully it isn't that though. He's had it on and off a year or so but since November 15 it's gotten worse. Which I why now the Vet I'd taking the last option Fingers crossed results show something fixable and I can get him on the mend again Just a quickie too. He was 5 on March 28th can't believe how fast the years have gone! And I'll soon be 20... Scary stuff! Sam |
Poor Bloo, let us know what the vet finds out. Monty had lice once, looked like grass seeds, they barely moved so didn't realize he had them until he really started scratching and examined his fur really closely. |
Hope he gets rid of it whatever it is! Kisses to your five years old Bloo. |
i think in regards to oreo he seems a bit small weighing 7.5 /bs at 8 wks? at 8 weeks he should be eating at least 3 TIMES a day!!! you might try another vet. Natural balance large breed puppy is a good food.....pedigree and anything with corn is crappy. most food that you can buy in a surpermarket as opposed to a pet store is usually not the best quality. please look into a better food nutro, natural balance, eukanuba.... all make large breed puppy food. |
