The symptoms are supposed to start 10-14 days in, a burn on her skin, sometimes a serious skin infection, and a sore throat. These will last about 2 weeks after treatments. The more I think about it the more upset I get that I am putting her through this. Hopefully things won't bother her too bad. The Oncologist told us this could give her 24-36 months of good life. So we are hopeful. Im a little depressed today, it gets difficult sitting in the oncology clinic watching all of the dogs coming and going. It truly is hard to believe all of the dogs with cancer. We are having a nice time bonding. Our drive to the clinic is 45 minutes one way, on the way sometimes we stop for a treat. Today we stopped at DQ for an ice cream. I let her have 2 little licks then ate the rest. She has a super sensitive stomach so I don't want to chance any issues. Keep her in your prayers, we could use all the help we can get. |

It's hard to know if you are doing the right thing, so far she isn't suffering. I respect your decision. |
It is really hard to know what is the right decision because you can never have the benefit of hindsight. You made the decision with all of Madie's best tinterests at heart. No one can ask more of you. |
You and Mattie are in my prayers Mattie is so lucky to have you!!! Just keep us posted. |
I look forward to the treatments being successfully completed and Mattie's tummy returning to normal and hearing that she gobbled down an entire ice cream cone! She is a special girl and we are all cheering for her. |
Praying and crossing fingers that everything goes on schedule with Mattie. Keep fighting Mattie. |
Hope all goes well for sweet Mattie. |
