MOM !! What did I hear in that room???
 in the front bedroom by themselves....So I was talking and petting Mama this morning and picked up two babies to hold  for a few minutes, and they woke up and meowed rather loud to be so little, Mama promptly put them back in the little hut I made. When I opened the bedroom door, Tinsley was standing at the doorway looking at me and wagging that little bum so fast. I asked her if she heard a "baby kitty"?  Magic words....she looked so happy and that nub wagged even faster.  ....I laughed so hard. But I had to tell her she had to wait a couple of weeks before she could see them.  |

| Alright, I just can't stand this! I am so jealous I can't see! I wonder if you can sign that lover up at a shelter for babies that get dropped off to be a nurse's assistant or something? I don't know just a snuggler? What do they call a dog who just comes in and takes care of babies(animal)? You don't have to be all certified for that do you? Isn't that just if you want to take your dog into a people hospital? There is nothing gentle about Steel unless he is sleeping or about to go to sleep. I don't think he can help it. He runs into me all the time. Steps on my feet, heck he runs into walls - half the time he is oblivious to the world around him MAJOR one track mind! Then as I said Skye is quite sure all cats are possessed by the devil. I don't know how she can tell the difference between them and other animals without the smell but she just about goes through my windows. So sweet and I am imagining so awwwww endearing. I am now starting to wonder if Steel is going to grow out of his clumsiness and if his legs will ever keep up with his mind or if his mind will ever slow to his legs. Glad to hear mom kitty is letting you be her friend and no more grumpy! Oh I CANNOT wait for pictures! |
| How did you like the names..... My friend that works at the vet told vet, you know that stray she was working with to bring in to get spayed....well, oops, surprise, too late. She has 3 babies now. lol. When I get some good pics and learn how to post them again i will. Have been lucky that all my sheepies loved my kitties. But I had kitties when they all became part of my family when they were pups. Max kitty bonded with Bear Bear and would sleep with her. Emma bonded with Lucy and would always love on her. They are always keeping me laughing. |

I was wondering how you came up with those names but after I read them a few times it started to click,  It sounds like mama is taking to her new quarters very well. She is a very lucky kitty she happened to wander into your yard and not someone else's! Would love to see pics of the sheepie and the babies. Hey Aleece....if I remember correctly Steel is the same age as Gunner I think (10 months?). He seems to have the same uncoordinated issues as Steel does-running into things to include me and my poor knees. I think his puppy brain has to grow into his body since he is a big boy. I guess when you think about it, they went from only a few ounces at birth to close to 70 pounds and more in 10 months time. Oh God....could you only imagine if us humans had a 70 pound weight gain in 10 months....yikes!!!!  |

| Kitty update....have eyes opened now and ears are opening, scooting around under Mama's watchful eyes. Clipped their extremely long front nails, Mama thanked me. She has been meowing for me to come in the room and just pet her, without having to eat while I pet her...and not so jumpy now when I pick them up and love on them. She seems to know they are ok when I have them now. She is being a good mama kitty. Tinsley still guards the door with that look of "I heard a baby kitty" when i am in there......lol.. |
| What a wonderful story of your rescue and the new litter. What cute names you decided on. Having the kitties around is a good life experience for your puppy. Looking forward to seeing the litter. (I know what you mean about posting pics here, I have the same problems so I give up for awhile.) |
