tail? what's that Hope the new new pup works out for the family. |
Don't you have tails? The waggy bit on the end of their bottoms that wacks you and sometimes goes in your cuppa then round the furniture?xx |
not this one. She has a divot where there used to be a tail. However, there is a big, broad butt that is pretty dangerous when it strikes you in the legs. She has a different way of clearing tables, getting underneath and scratching her back on the table apron. The Pyrs were very gentle with their tails, curling them up, not often swinging around like bull whips. |
Good to hear from you again. Hope all goes well with the new puppy . Have you taken yours over yet to play with the pup?? Seems like I read somewhere it is against the law to dock the tails over in the U.K. Here their tails are docked. And send pics when you can.... |
We haven't taken Sprocket over to see Dylan yet as he has a small garden so he will be coming over to ours but first meeting will be in the field over the road so they can have fun and no "protecting my area" from Sprocket-he is very protective. It was amazing to see Dylan who is about the same size as a twin trying to "push" them into the corner of the room. He got 1 there, went for the other and first one had "escaped"!! Sprocket is our first with a tail (the others had a "bobble" a "sausage" and a "dent") it is illegal now here ro remove and Dylan has dew claws to-never seen on a sheepie. Vet said when did 1st jabs that too old to remove now, should be ok but can remove when he "has the chop" at 6 months because Sue recons the was partly Dougal's problem but we "won't go there".xx |
Welcome back. Love hearing about puppies! |
last sheepdog had dews. wasn't a problem for her, but was for me and grooming......and forgetting they were there and not clipping. |
Dylan,Sprocket,Scott+Chloe(the twins) all got together over the weekend. It went perfect. Had the dogs on leads to sniff each other etc and let Dylan have wee by himself then let them off. Sprocket was so good with him,a couple of grumbles when Dylan hung off one of his ears and had hold of his tail but that was only what you would expect. They both let the twins crawl around them and Scott loves to take the kibble out of their bowls and to feed it to them. You can imagine how close they were watched and will be but was so amazing to watch and such a relief.xx |
