Attack from the air is a possibility that is taken into account by all good strategists and Tiggy is always vigilant. No birds are allowed in the back yard when Tiggy is on duty but this morning there was a greater threat! She was sitting beside me waiting for breakfast to be served when I heard her make a quite growl. She got up and went and stood between me and the back glass doors. Oh my, we were under attack - by hot air balloon! She watched it out of sight and is now sitting guard staring at the sky out the back. All thoughts of breakfast forgotten. There will be no air-borne invasions while Tiggy is on duty. PS The danger has passed! Tiggy just stood down. A big sigh and flopped on the floor. We can all breathe freely again. I guess I better organise to break out breakfast rations, guards need to keep their strength up. |

And all she asks as a reward is a proper vehicle, a comfortable snooze (in your bed) and the odd treat. Not to much to ask for, given that she is the sole protector of your hearth and home. We have a hot air balloon festival in our area every year. We could use Tiggy's services during that time! |
I've missed Tiggy's adventures! And I'm so tickled that she's focused on the skyward activity, too! Benson will completely miss the random chipmunk crossing, but she never missed the birds and airplanes overhead. Way to guard the family, Tiggy! |
Good work Tiggy - you make life safer for your folks! |

way too funny thanks lifted my day |
I am so grateful I live on the wrong side of town when Balloon Fiesta is about. Miss Tiggs would have quite a time with nearly 600 of those monsters. Only a couple of my dogs were as calm as Tiggy. Most of mine run, hide and quiver. Fortunately with the price of propane, they don't stay up long enough to get down this far For most of my guys it was the sound of the burner.........dragon's breath......and not the balloon. Paige would bark at the balloons when they were miles away, she was very visual. How nice to know Miss Tiggs continues to keep you safe. |
