I heard that the other day that they just closed down all the stores without warning. Cindy |
Oh, no! Hopefully you can get your card credited quickly. Not to mention you have to order all new appliances again! Good luck! |
OMG!!! |
I'm sure Cap One will do the right thing. I had a hinky feeling something was going to happen about 2 weeks after I ordered. I couldn't get a firm delivery date. This may turn out fine. I will probably order stainless appliances instead of white, which means I can get the darker countertops that I wanted. |
Cap One came through and credited my account the day I called. Great customer service. Was already at Home Depot to pick out appliances. |
Well. I picked out the original counter tops because I picked out white appliances. Now that I'm reordering appliances, I decided to go with my first counter top pick, which is called Cinnabar. It is a cinnamon color with flecks of a color that matches my cabinets, and flecks of grey which will match stainless appliances. |
I love Corian. We've had it for 18 years in the kitchen and our shower. Love the colors. |
OMG I'm glad you got your money back. That's terrible they did that. Glad it's working out. |
Ordered new stainless appliances yesterday. Whirlpool fridge (bottom mount freezer, single fridge door), and GE gas range and over the counter micro. I can't find a dishwasher I like at Home Depot. I'd like a Whirlpool with stainless interior so I'll be hitting Lowe's at some point. However, the Whirlpool with a plastic interior is $400 less than the equivalent with a stainless interior. So do I really need to spent $400 extra???? I can't decide how important a stainless interior is to me. |
Well, the stainless interior tends to quiet the dishwasher quite a bit, partly because of the material, but also probably because they put more insulation around more expensive units. It's nice to run the DW and not hear it. The model I have from Sears is a "Kenmore Elite" about 6 years old, it's actually made by Bosch. There is no actual heated drying cycle, it uses a combination of a sheeting agent like Jet-Dry and about 1/2 an hour to get the vast majority of water to sheet off then evaporate and condense on the colder stainless ... or so they say that's how it works. It's just magic to me. |
