Hollie smelly beard

Hi all I could really do with some advice. Hollie my oes is 10months old. She was clipped shortish in July but now growing back especially the face area.
The problem I have now with her is her beard always looks dirty. I am forever cleaning it/brushing it etc but it never stays clean. She has now began to have a horrid smell to her which I can't seem to get rid of. I have checked inside her mouth as much as she will let me to rule out a bad tooth. Ears are fine. She still hasn't come into season yet could the smell be to do with a hormone change.
Also how can I keep her beard looking clean instead of always looking stained the smell Definately seems to becoming from this area.

Monty usually has a wet and stained beard but not really smelly.
If Hollies teeth are really brown she could have tarter that's causing bad breath and staining wet beard with the smell.
We give raw bones to Monty which helps keep the teeth cleaner.
There are quite a few posts you can find through search for whitening beards. We don't bother but brush Monty's chin regularly to keep it Matt free. Trimming it also makes it look less dirty.
Thanks for reply. Checked teeth and they are lovely and white no tartar so I can rule that out.
I have noticed she is dragging her bottom so maybe her anal glands are causing the smell although I still think its the beard but there again that could smell from washing her bottom. Guess I'll pop her along to the vet to have her bottom checked. She also has not come into season yet which is why I thought maybe hormonal smell.
Remember, she might be getting the last of those back teeth.......teething drool. Yes, sheepies have a problem with food in the beard as well. Yellow drool stains are protein related, soap and water may not be enough. I'm sure others will share their secrets for white beards. Back when the meat tenderizer was available, that helped. Haven't see that for awhile. Often thought papaya would help but thought of trying seemed a terrible waste of papaya.
Well her smell was down to the anal glands and according to the vet today very full. I have been told to keep an eye on her as they may need to be emptied again. She hasn't been diagnosed with a problem as such but since a pup has had a few problems with her poos. Worming tablets give her diarrhea and at 7wks old she had gastric problems. Definately happier in herself today and no dragging or licking her bum. Going to give her a good wash/groom tomorrow.
As for her teeth yes she still has some to come through gums are a little red but she's eating ok.
Vet said she should come into season between 10 and 12 months and she is 10 months 5 sept need her to come into heat now or November. Hollie won a best in show puppy and is up for the championship 19th oct but obviously if on heat can't enter.
Forgot to mention she was weighed and now weighs just over 22 kilos aged 10months.
Been back to vets as still dragging her bottom. They said she may have infection so she was given an injection as that area very sensitive. Also while there she has just come into season so this injection apparently will calm things down. Bless her she has had a m.o.t. Even been wormed and Flead whilst at the vets.
Poor thing will need something soft to sit on for awhile. Not a happy girl right now.
