OES Get Together
I know many of you on here are in USA. However, for those in UK (especially the Midlands area) myself and Val Leggett are hosting an Old English Sheepdog Get-Together and picnic in the park. It will be on 9th August starting at about 1.00 pm. Venue is Kingsbury Water Park, near Birmingham. Val and I are also going to do a short grooming demo to show how you can keep your OES clean and tidy without the need to shave/clip or send them to the groomers every 6 weeks or so. | Yesterday afternoon we held our Old English Sheepdog Get Together and Picnic in the Park. It was held in bright sunshine at Kingsbury Water Park, near Birmingham, UK. We had about 40 people turn up with about 30 dogs, some that weren't OES, but we made them honorary OES for the afternoon. It was lovely to see so many OES together, and the owners enjoyed getting hints and tips on grooming etc. We also had a raffle which raised £70 for the Didim Animal Shelter in Turkey. To round off the afternoon we had a lovely picnic, with many bringing cakes, savouries and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make the day so special, myself and Val Blake spent a long time organising the event, and it was great to see it all come together. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon, so much so they want us to make it an annual event !!! Can someone tell me how to post a picture on here, I would love you all to be able to see everyone !! Janet |
