We had 9 in the instinct testing right off in the morning. Even one 4.5 month old puppy who was hooked! We also had a bouv, and a briard puppy. Then the rain hit, so we took a break! We got a little wet running inside. Not quite the usual look for Bond, the Grand Ch show dog! But yes, he gets to be a "real dog" Spectating: Bond and his water: Some short video clips of Bond herding. Broken into 3, 30--40 second segments - beginning, middle and end clips. We were practicing for A Course sheep. It's kind of far away viewing, but hope you can sort of see what we were doing! |

He looks great! To my (admittedly inexperienced) eye, he looks like he has very good control. I would SO love to try herding with Benson, but the nearest place to train is something like 150 miles away. |

He does have good control; (very hard earned on my part!) and now we are looking for moderation - in speed, bounciness, etc. He's working so much harder than he needs to....and he's doing it on purpose because he LOVES it. This day was a drive - over 2 hours of highway driving. But thankfully, our local practice is only about 30 minutes away. And that is really rare to find. |
Fun for all! Cindy |
