I made a thread about her back in March 2012. Here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=36963&hilit=sunshade Sadly, Sunshade passed on May 9th. She was about 14.5 years old. The Airedale world is very sad today. She was a very special Airegirl. Her owner posted this nice tribute to her. http://youtu.be/Uxbjx10lwVU And another bio for Sunshade:' http://www.gofundme.com/Sunshade Google "Sunshade the Airedale" & see what you get for results. She takes up the whole page. Such a great dog. She will be missed by many around the world. Run fast & free at the Bridge sweetie. |

Rest in peace sweet Sunshade! You made a difference in the world. |
I remember watching the video and forwarding it to my vet who has Dales. She was amazed. RIP Sunshine. You made the world a nicer place. |
What a beautiful tribute video. You could see the joy that the two of them gave each other. The first dog I ever had when I got out of college was an Airedale named Presley. Then when I married a few years later we got our first sheepie. Over the years, Presley was a loving uncle to the first 3 generations of our sheepdogs. Sassy, Zooey, Oreo, Yapper, Cisco, Winston, and Emma were all raised and learned from him. Todays pups that came up to Sheepiepalooza never met him, but the things he taught all the other dogs about how to act has been past down to them. Winston taught Daisy, Daisy taught Auggie, & they both taught Maggie when I rescued her 4 months ago. Presley passed away at 15 and it was the toughest thing I had ever went through in my life. I have had the wonderful friendship and lost seven more since then, all but Emma from old age. It doesn't get any easier. RIP Sunshade. Say hello to all my friends up there. We will see you all soon. |
