CHAIR - for the picnic (there will be NO chairs there !!!!!!) and the dog park RAINCOAT - for you and the dog, rain on this weekend is not unusual DRINKS - for yourself for the picnic - NO alcohol is allowed at Purina Farms! and some nice things to have IF you have them OR more importantly have room for them: portable crate - for doggie downtime if you have one portable shade umbrella or canopy - to provide shade at the picnic battery operated fan - to cool the dog Here is a picture of Simon and Harry at the picnic in 2012: A few other notes - We will take cash and checks at the auction. The weather in St. Louis can be all over the place and is usually hot at least one day of Memorial Day weekend. We usually have down time during both Saturday and Sunday so you can cool off at the hotel room and get recharged for the evening activities. The dog park will be accessible to attendees for Friday through Monday so if anyone wants to squeeze in some extra unscheduled play time that is a possiblity. An intinerary will be sent via e-mail as a PDF file to all attendees about a week before the event that you can print out. This will be in lieu of handing them out at the event. That way everyone can get addresses into their vehicles before they depart. We will also be sending the attendees roster to everyone before that day as well. If any of you regular attendees can think of anything else to add to the list please chime in. |

One more thing to pack..... a golf umbrella if you go out on the boats. Even at 10:00 in the morning it will help with the sun. Here is a picture of me and Cindy on the boats with Teddy, the captain and Harry, the passenger. We have an umbrella and that really cut down on the sun. |
I just can't believe that we won't be there. Please post many pictures and tell many tales (tails?). And I would like a play by play of the auction bidding. I like seeing Val get all twitchy when someone else bids on her favourite items. |
ohawwwwww....Kim...there is a new rule....CAMERAS for forbidden during the auction.....so sorry...you are just gonna have to brave the tornadoes and head down to the LOU.........BUT you MUST bring the load of puppies AND Gracie, Virginia AND Mady..... |
And please remember to bring your bidding paddle and auction items!!! The auction has some very nice and exciting items this year |
Don't forget to leave extra space in your car for smuggling home someones cute puppy!! I think Willow would be a great addition to our household I kid, I kid. Sunblock is always a good thing. We spend a lot of time outdoors that weekend. |
Speaking of smuggling a puppy..... I have my eye on Helene. She is going to be the youngest of the bunch at just 5 months. I think that was the age that Teddy and Charm were at their first Sheepiepalooza and we all fell in love. |

I don't have it. Carol made that sign. |
Counting down the days!! |
I was going through the list above - and Dog Towels should be added. We rarely make it through the weekend without water....without rain, dogs in water (boathouse, wading pool at the dog park, etc), or even just dirty dogs that you want to clean up and dry! OR - if you have a water loving guy like Bond! This is him 2 yrs ago at Sheepiepalooza.....and he hasn't changed one bit. I have towels at hand - all....the....time! |

My brain is fried from the last 2 busy, busy, busy days - besides drinks, should we bring any food to share for the picnic? I thought I read that somewhere, but I can't find it now. I need me some Sheepiepalooza . . . STAT! |
