Great hunter

Winston is adding lizards to his hunting. Now he watches out the window for squirrels and lizards and whines when he sees either. We have several like this in the backyard, about 10" long. He caught this one (with a little help). He sniffed and pawed at it trying to get it to run some more but it was tired out or terrified. I put it back in the hedge and it didn't seem any the worse for wear. Big fat belly so I think it may be a pregnant female which is probably why we were able to catch it. I didn't want to get my camera while he had it or the unsupervised part of the capture may not have turned out so well.

The squirrels let him get within about 3' as they scamper up a tree just out of his reach before they turn and scold or tease him.

Be careful, over here in South Florida we have what we call "curly tails" a lizzard of similar size whose tail curls up over it's back--those buggers have major teeth and will bite just ask my sons.
One fat lizard, probably a female. Also healthy euonymus.
