Do you always have it the same place and same dates every year? My job does not like us to take off any time there is a holiday as that is when we are the busiest. But was thinking maybe, just maybe if i put in for it a year in advance and plead my case, i could get some time off. This sounds like a fun loving group of people. Would so like to meet the people who have been so nice as to answer my post and meet their fur balls of love. Do most of you travel with your sheepies to the festival, and by car or plane? i hope for wonderful weather for you all Pictures and more pictures so I can live vicariously through all of you. Sheepiepalooza is held in St. Louis every other year. Sheepieshindig (I think) is held at the same venue in Canada. Sheepiepalooza is every 2 years, with SheepieShindig (in Canada) on the alternate years. So, in 2015 it will be in Canada...and in 2016..we are hoping it will be back here in St. Louis. Don't forget about the OES Nationals!!!! It is our yearly specialty and it is in different states each year. It is very fun to see 'just' sheepdogs doing what they do best in herding, agility, rally, obedience and comformation~~~there are vendors that sell 'sheepie' jewelry, shirts, mugs..etc...It is something that every sheepie owner needs to experience at least once........hope to see you at one of our special events in the future!!!!!!! |

Also some clubs or rescues have their own yearly function. One biggie is New England OES Rescue's picnic in Connecticut......when?? Early summer?? Find a club or rescue near you and contact them to see if they are having a fun day. Granted, 'Palooza is special!! Sheepies on paddleboats!! |
Oh darn! I looked at the PDF and it indicated a Bi-Annual rather than Bi-Ennial. We had so hoped to go next year. Not sure about Canada though. |
It is not too late to join us this year. |
I am hoping to do an event at my place in the fall in maryland.... |
