I am so excited....been waiting since February and in the middle of August we get to select our puppy & bring him/her home. I have been like a new Mommy, putting my list together of all the things we will need for our lil sheepie. I have also been reading a lot, I figure the more I know- the better. Plus I have past experience of being raised with sheepies I will definitely share photos once we get our puppy home And then I can give my Mom her Avatar back of PaddyBear....who I have been borrowing for mths now. |

Congratulations!!!!! I cant wait to see the pictures...Do you know what youre going to get? |
Very exciting!!
Pictures, please! |
CONGRATULATIONS!! |
Well- I told the breeder we were leaning towards a male and prefer a mostly whitehead with a splash on an ear and a full sadle. However, when I get there and see all the puppies, I may fall in love with a cutiepie sheepie that does not match that description.
Everyone tells me that one puppy will just pick us out. I sure hope so. I am a Gemini and will most likely pick two. So- I hope just one picks me I will definitely post pics....I will be a very proud and adoring Mom! |
Congratulations! And remember, Tom Petty said it best, The Waiting is the Hardest Part.
P.S. They do tend to pick you out, just prepare yourself for the mass of cuteness that you'll encouter. There was a thread a little while ago about how everyone picked out their puppies. If you go browsing you should be able to find it. |
Congratulations !
Best wishes to you and your new puppy! Have you thought about a name yet? (or names? ) Since you were raised with sheepies, this must be very exciting! Please post pictures when you can! Have fun!! Zahra Love Paddybear! please post in the photo section- what a sweetie for hosting your avatar while you await your pup! |
Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Yes-this is very exciting. My parents came for dinner last night and brought Paddington, their sheepie (my Avatar). I love having him visit so I can see how wonderful it will be to have our own.
Yes- we have picked out names- Bogart and Bella. So prepared either way we go |
I'm so excited for you! Both names are great! Looking forward to the pics!

Love both names, but favor Bogart Wishing you a healthy, bouncing pup ! |
I love those names. My breeder got a puppy the same time we got ours and named her Bella. Very nice!! Good luck with whoever you get!!

Getting close..... We just got back last night from vacation in ME-our last hoorray before the puppy arrives. I can't beleive only 11 more days. I have been shopping and preparing the house, like a good sheepie Mom. I can't wait to pick out our lil sheepie and bring him/her home It's just like Christmas morning butterflies
I think I am getting a little anxious over the house training, but have been reading as much as possible and plan for some mistakes. We are crate training and having a pet nanny come in 2X a day for the first few weeks, as I can only get home at lunchtime to walk him/her. The standard is 1 hour per 1 month old, correct? So an 8 week puppy can hold it about 2 hours? And house training should take about 4-5 weeks? Any words of wisdom? |
house training should take about 4-5 weeks
4-5 months??? |
