Normally, I don't give the kids a spring break, but I am this year. I just finished a Math test, which I feel I did pretty OK on, and "pretty OK" is so much better than the last test which was "give up and cry". So I think we'll take a week off and play. There aren't any dance practices for the kids after tomorrow, no 4-H next week, no classes for me. Amy and I will have obedience on Sunday, but that's it! The weather is beautiful, the windows are open, and we have ABBA on the stereo. What could be better? |

Spring Break for me too!!!! |
It sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Spring. |
Crud. I forgot the kids have swimming lessons all next week. Oh well, we'll just get up early for that, then take the rest of the day to play. |
Brr, can't imagine swimming! Woke to 12 degrees, with -5F windchill. It might get above freezing again by Wednesday. Slow spring here. The only good news is that the snow yesterday passed just north of us. Although frozen dirty snow and emerging mud is pretty ugly. And dangerous to walk on. Enjoy your free time with the family! |
That is a slow spring compared to here. We're in short sleeves and jeans with the morning having been 35F and the day high is forecast at 67 degrees. I can handle that. The kids' complained of cold toes at swimming today but they got over it. This part of Idaho is relatively temperate. We've lived in the mountains in Nevada and had snow on the ground for 9 months, and in a place where we had to snowshoe down the road to get to our house. Now I'm spoiled with the occasional snow storm, which melts and goes away quickly. |
Sure is nice to know it is spring SOMEWHERE!! I figure maybe June, the snow and ice will be gone |
