Though I do wonder about this, because with Virginia, she is definitely able to pre-emptively manipulate us after she did something wrong, before we even know she did something wrong. On the rare occasion, when a half-empty bag of chips or something was left in too-accessible a spot with Virginia home alone, she will indulge, and when we come home, as soon as we come in the door, she'll be at the door frantically wiggling her bum 10x more than normal. You can always instantly tell that she did "something". So she's not reacting to our reaction to her misdeed, we're entering the house ignorant of her misdeeds, she has to be reacting to the misdeed! Either way, she is a very smart girl and her frantic "yes-I-did-something-wrong-but-look-how-cute-my-bum-is" bum-wiggling is adorable and prevents her from getting into any real trouble. |

Yes, they do have that guilt complex that does give them away. Who can be made at a sweet wiggle bum? |
You cannot be mad at a wiggle butt, it's just too darn cute! We knew Virginia was special and that has been passed on to her daughters. |
Just a quick note. Please be careful with potato chip or other snack bags. A dog on this forum died getting her head stuck in a potato chip bag while she was home alone. She suffocated. A neighbor lost a four month old puppy the same way about ten years ago. It's one of those things I never would have thought twice about, until I heard of these two cases. Laurie and Oscar |
