Training to go through a new pet door

We just got our new pet door installed on Monday and I'm in the process of training both dogs to learn to use it. Lucy will go in and out no problem if I lift the flap, I'm assuming it'll just take a little time for her. Clyde does not like to go out, even if I lift the flap. He'll do it but it takes him awhile. However, he will come back in on his own, pushing the flap and all, although he usually hangs out in the middle of the door for a few minutes first. I know I probably just have to give it time and continue to encourage them to use it, first by lifting the flap, then just the corner until they do it on their own, but does anyone have any tips or tricks that I should know?

Can we have a picture of Clyde half-in and half-out? :P :P
I don't have experience with dog doors, but treats are pretty much my answer to everything. Oh, and praise.
Ah! I do know the answer to this one and Valerie was right..treats but also prop the door open for a couple hours..either with a stick or something. They may knock it off so perhaps if you can tie something that will keep the door open..you get creative. They become used to the open doorway and go in and out as they please. Eventually call them with it closed. I lived in numerous places and always had a cat door installed...if it works for them..should work easily too for the dogs. Just tell the dogs I said that as they'll want to prove they're smarter than cats anyday!

PS- a treat from the other side should help too to get them used to going in and out that doorway.
