My sister's cell phone problem

My sister's cell phone carrier is Sprint. My cell phone carrier is Sprint. My work AND home landlines are AT&T.

My sister can call my cell phone. I can call her cell phone. Her cell phone CANNOT call my house or work. She gets a message that the call cannot be completed. She has no trouble with other numbers. She has been to the Sprint store twice and they tell her there is nothing wrong with her phone. Well, there's nothing wrong with my work or home phones since other people get through.

But here's the weird thing. She tries both my numbers once a day just to check. I called her cell phone Saturday from my landline and left her a voice message. Instead of dialing my number, she hit "redial" or "call last caller" or whatever it's called, and it went through.

What the heck is going on? She has an iPhone.

Is she calling your number from an address book in the phone or "dialing?" If dialing I'd wonder if there's an intermediate loose contact on the touch pad for a certain number in your sequence......though you'd think it would happen with others. If from address, maybe a corruption in the file. Have her reprogram maybe under a different name....nick name, or sister or something with your name following. Otherwise she'll have to keep you on the caller list and just hit redial, PIA!
I'm sure my numbers are on her speed dial. One of my lunch buddies suggestions was have her erase my contact number and import it from the "missed calls" screens. My sister is technologically inept though. She might have to wait for me to do it!
I had Sprint for a few years & would periodically have this issue, only with calling my parents house phone. As best as we could tell, it happened when the network was particularly busy. I live in a somewhat rural area. (As soon as another reliable carrier came to our area, I switched.)
It sounds like it could be an area code issue.

Is she in the same area code as you? Does she dial your number with the correct area code?

Or, did your area code switch some time back and she never changed it? http://newsroom.sprint.com/consumer-res ... erlays.htm

Find out how she has your number listed including area code and/or 1+.
My daughter had spring and she had to stand outside at our house to use her cell phn most of the time. Sprint gave her a "booster" that hooked into our wifi and helped a little. She was very frustrated with them.
Not an area code or phone number issue. I've had the same phone number for 10 years. The problem started when she got the new phone, so I know it has something do with that.
Given that it goes through when she can call you when she on your number as the last call received, it's most likely she entered your number on the new phone without the area code. So when she selects your name, she has the phone number only entered, and not the area code. Have her edit your contact and make sure she adds the full number including area code and then try.
That is frustrating. I agree with having her delete the contact and then re-enter it from the recent call list.

Can she dial the number instead of choosing the contact and still get through?
I'd do a call to her, and then have her save it from that.
