May 23rd - 25th (Memorial Day Weekend) St. Louis, MO The planning committee met yesterday to go over details. The younger committee members were occasionally distracted.... and a little confused.... but eventually they got it all planned. Here are the details: Friday evening - Soulard dog park for playtime followed by dinner then a visit to Ted Drewes frozen custard Saturday - Sheepie Games, picnic and auction at Purina Farms during the day. And a special tribute in memory of Heart. Dinner and doggie snow cones in Kirkwood in the evening. Sunday - paddleboats in Forest Park, lunch at the Central West End and dinner on The Hill. Registration and order forms will be available in early March. A separate thread will be posted for the hotel. Plus a thread for the all new Sheepie Games. Harry is looking forward to seeing everyone again. Bert and Willow can't wait for their first Sheepiepalooza. |

We are hoping the Fleury Sheepie Clan cam make it from Chattanooga. Many thanks for our TN Sheepie friends for letting us know about this event. |
Love the pictures, sounds like a lot of fun. |
I am sure hoping I can get there this year. A friend of mine who also has a sheepie, have talked about going. I have to check into the cost to rent a mini van (mine is old and no a/c) so we can transport the three dogs. Being that Oliver is older, (11?) I hope he would enjoy the event. Also need prices for hotel. Nancy |

And it's normal to have a full spectrum of ages with the dogs - from wild and crazy, to sedate and mature. |

And I should add the middle category - those that think they can still run around with the young ones, but pay for it the next day. That would be Chewie, now that he's almost 8! |

Fred and I had already rsvp'd but now my Mom is coming too.... both excited to see all the sheepies but we won't know a soul there.. Does everyone go to all the events? Please make sure us newbies know where to be and when and what we should bring, if anything, to the different events. I need a sheepiepalooza mentor, lol |

Most people go to all the events. Judi, Val and helpers are super organizational people. You get a schedule, maps, direction, GPS...all that event by event, for the entire time. Usually a packet is waiting when we check into the Pear Tree. Also they make lists of stuff to bring - suggestions. Like chairs, crates, water, money, etc. |

It makes you wonder why there would be an event in your area if you are the only one with a Sheepdog Just haven't seen any at the St Charles Dog park, we don't get much further than our own back yard so to speak. But sure am thankful the event is in St. Louis that's for sure. |
We really want to attend this year, but Mattie is getting old, cranky, and tired. I hate to leave her, but am considering leaving both and flying out. That way I can really get to know everyone else's Sheepies. |
Lisa, we would miss seeing Mattie and Frankie, but would still love to see you again. I know of at least one person who has more Sheepdogs than she can handle and could always use an extra hand. |
