Way to go, Ginger! But... Quote: ...her "scruffy mug didn't exactly light up the Cute Cam" Blasphemy!! Quote: "Ginger chewed through the rule-book and racked up penalties (including illegal bathing, unnecessary nuttiness, and the first ever terrorizing the ref call in Puppy Bowl history,)...." if ever 2 words captured the soul of a Sheepie-Boxer mix... |
I missed seeing her, must have been in the 1st quarter and her high energy probably had her excused early. Are any of us surprised at her antics? Watching the clip of her play.........sure looked like a sheepdog to me! Wonder if her adopter will find us? |

She was in and out in a flash. |
She was on during the 1st quarter. And featured quite prominently. Then they repeated the whole Bowl every 2 hours until 5 AM EST this morning. She was adopted by a family in Arlington, VA. What I just learned was that the Puppy Bowl is taped in October (probably very early October judging by the foliage shown in the opening shots with Michele Obama on the White House lawn). Ginger is probably pretty big now. |
Thank you for the insider scoop, Mark. It would be very cool to have Ginger's forever family here! I was wondering what an adult OES-Boxer might look like, but googling yielded a bunch "OES-Boxer cross" puppies advertised for sale. Is it a "de$igner breed"? |
Here's Ginger's adoption story w/video. http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/pu ... tories.htm |
LOVE IT....... |

Good, he knows about OES..........and their PLAYFUL behavior. Still looking for boxer in her.......longer legs, leaner body? |
Loved watching her in the Puppy Bowl! Cindy |
I laughed at her body slamming tactics - so Tiggy. And 'unnecessary nuttiness' is a definite. Tiggy's best buddy at obedience was a boxer - they each knew the other was up for any high jinx and naughtiness. I never could see how they communicated to each other it was time to muck up (and believe me I watched). They'd both be perfectly behaved one second and then start mucking up and trying to either get to each other to wrestle or get to chase/wrestle another dog at the same time. They sure kept their owners on their toes. |
