The APDA is now Officially Running!
I'd love for everyone to check out our website (http://www.apdasports.com/), and maybe even "Like" our Facebook page, if you're so inclined (https://www.facebook.com/APDASports). We are really striving to set ourselves apart from the crowd, in part with our competition structure (for example, you can choose to work in close with your dog, like NWDA, or from the finish line, like IWPA). But we are also trying to educate folks on the physical and behavioral benefits that are possible with weightpulling as a part of your dog's training. And of course, Benson is very involved! She is in several videos already, and will be included in our first Videocast that goes up on the site on February 1. Here's my baby-girl! |

| Thanks! The music is actually from one of my Brazilian Ensemble rehearsals, a funk we picked up from Meninos du Morombi. (Those kids play it unbelievably fast!) And I'm thrilled you've noticed all the different breeds! That's one of our big goals - to show it's more than just a "muscle-dog" sport. |
| Nice video - and I guessed it was your group's music! Our group here in MN is very diverse too - in fact within the WP community, we get talked about a lot. We are usually held up as an example of what weight pull is supposed to be - from people who are sick of the (predominantly) bully breeds with their humans who manipulate and try to win at all cost. This gets kind of long - but if you can just scroll through the breeds (listed right after the dog names) you can see a sample from a pull last summer.
