I have noticed that during the day, I can hear her breathing, so I do know it's a little difficult for her, but boy that appetite, wow. China is a walking eating machine. If the other dogs don't get their food eaten by the time China's done, she goes looking for their food. I did notice something interesting going on between the two Aussies. Asia will eat some of her food and if China is there, she will look at China and than get up and walk away from her plate. So than China comes in and finishes it off. China used to do the same thing when Asia first came here as an 8 mts old. The connection the two of them have is amazing, and sad when I think of Asia without China. The sad news I have, so wanted to wait until all of the holidays were over, Violet is not doing well. Her back legs are not her friend and have been giving her alot of trouble. She has been such a great sheepdog, my first dog in Florida. No decisions have been made yet regarding Violet. Chuck and I were bathing and grooming her yesterday, She is the best dog to get into the bathtub and so patient as I wash her. After she/we had a rest Chuck trimmed her nails and she was so good about it. Trimming her nails is a two person team. I pet her and talk soothing to her while Chuck does the cutting. I think it's more for Chuck, he feels so nervous about hitting the quick. Anyway, we keep Violet's hair short now and she looks wonderful today. Thank you for your kind thoughts and words for both of my girls China and Violet. We hope all of you have a Happy and Healthy New Year! |

I'm sorry about Violets decline. I know first hand how hard it is to watch the struggle, and pray that things turn around for them. Prayers and hugs to you, Chuck, Violet, China and Asia!! China seems like she is a fighter. Bless her... |
Take it one day at a time with each of them. That way it seems more doable. Often times the big picture can be too overwhelming. Humans tend to look at the big picture. Dogs live in the present. They don't worry about yesterday or tomorrow. They make the most of today. Sometimes I wonder why we humans are so dense & can't see what they are trying to teach us......until it's too later. Hugs to all of you. I know how tough it is |
Just continue to love them unconditionally, like they love you. Prayers and hugs to get you thru this. |
Just be glad for each day you have with them. |
Thank all of you for your support during this difficult time. I really do appreciate it and appreciate every moment I have with my girls. I wish time would stop and not move forward, but it won't so I reluctantly move forward dragging my heals. |
Lots of kisses and hugs for your girls. |
I know that you are making the most of each day. Sorry to hear that Violet isn't doing well. So unfair to have double worry and stress Hugs to you, Chuck and all the girls |
