Truman does this ALL THE TIME!!! People walking down the street, people on bikes and motorcycles, moms pushing strollers, joggers, you name it! I don't know why they do it but it is embarrasing sometimes. You want to shout out the window "He's really friendly, honest!!" Truman usually rides in the back of our Subaru in the cargo area because it is larger than the back seat. However, I have noticed that when he is in the back seat, he doesn't bark nearly as much. Maybe because we have the windows down and he can stick his head out. Who knows why they bark like crazy fools, not me! |
Welcome back Willows mom
Was there a time she was left in the car if you went into a store or something? Perhaps someone teased her or something... I don't know... it doesn't make sense that she would do this all of a sudden.... How old is she? Dancer became more protective around 5 or 6 months of age I think, and stupid me I encouraged it, or reassured her when I should have just told her to setlle down and knock it off. By trying to reassure her I reinforced her behavior... bad me.... |
I usually only take Willow in the car when she is able to get out when I get out. I don't like to leave her in there alone, but I guess it's possible someone may have bothered her. Like Truman's mom said, it is very embarassing and I do wish I could yell, "she's really friendly, honest". The weird thing is that it is definitely a new behavior. She used to be so good in the car. I'm wondering how I can break the habit. She loves to go for rides, and I'd hate to have to stop her from going. Thanks, Truman's Mom for letting me know I'm not alone!!! And thanks Dancer's mom for the welcome back! Sorry I've been gone so long! |
