Last week A client's oes, Camille, passed on. Then on Thursday of last week, another client's oes named Winston had passed. This past Friday was one of the worst. A long time client of mine sent me the bad news over email. She was too distraught to call me. Clarence, her long time beau, collapsed on the kitchen floor with suffering a collapsed lung and blod clot (pulminary embolism). It's very hard to express the specific emotion that tugs at your heart. You think maybe it's anguish, despair, or utter shock. That feeling is so hard on you, that it can give you chills and make you never want to feel it again. Us humans are all selfish. We want our animals around forever. People can't fathom looking at they're beloved knowing they're time may be soon. But I'm here to say.... And I'm sure you will all agree, sheepdog's RULE the heavens! For those who lose a beloved, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. And these pups will ALWAYS be around in spirit. I have many clients that tell me they can just feel the aura of their dog with them. I'm convinced they are right! Michelina~ |

It's true that when you can get past the what if's and if only's and the grief you truly start to heal. I think sometimes the guilt tears at us...did I do the right thing?what if we had done this?why didn't I see this sooner? All we can do is offer the best we have and at the end hope that was enough. |

Michelina, you state it so beautifully, they are always around in spirit. Sheepies give us so much love and devotion, it can be so difficult to let go. They will always live in our heart because of the unique bond we have with them. Our lives are made better by having the unique experience of their personality, they give so much joy to us... Your work is so important as you capture the essence of the OES personality and energy....its a timeless reminder of our beloved Sheepies ! |
I remember reading this and couldn't find the right words to say at the time. You wrote such beautiful words Michelina, your clients are very lucky to have such a compassionate friend as yourself. My thoughts are with them all.

Thank you much-
Hold your pups tight, and cherish every second you have with them. I know the pain and anguish that comes with losing something very dear to you. I lost two OES at once. I was a child, and still haven't gotten over it. |
My heart is breaking tonight after the loss of our beloved "Shoby" Nobody knows what it is like to have a Sheep dog but a fellow owner. Total unconditional love. We loved and loss our best friend, truly one of our kids. How do you get over the loss. He was so so special. |
