Now that the larger birds are wintering around us, ravens, cranes, geese, etc they cast shadows over the ground as they fly overhead and she will chase those shadows as well.......but then MO did this. The birds are OK but their shadows are evil. And of course there is the laser light game twice a night--who says dog's can't count? First night we had the Christmas lights on the front gate she about lost her mind, thankfully they don't blink! We forget just how differently dogs see and react. They are far more sensitive to movements than we are.........but who thought this 8ish dog would still be so.........reactive? |

Our first sheepie loved to chase shadows. It was fun to watch him try to chase his own. |
For FORever, when Heart was a youngster, she would bark at her refection,or anyone's for that matter, in the glass of the back door, at night.... |
Not a sheepie, but a horse thing. Bob is almost 29 and still afraid of lights from flashlights or cameras. The light in his stall is broken so I took a penlight into his stall to check his waterer. Good thing he was out of the stall because even from a distance he freaked at the light. As did his neighbor. Crazy. Yet a tractor can drive under his nose and he doesn't turn a hair. |
