A bad day in rescue
I started coming everyday and grooming her. She was a sweetie. Saturday she recognized my voice and came a running. I got a message today when I was out and about, that Hope was down, and it was the end. I came out to say my goodbyes. I sat with her on the frozen cold ground for an hour until the vet came. I was with her when she took her last breath. I am so sad. I knew this would be part of rescue, I just wasn't ready so soon. I am so sorry, horses are wonderful animals.  I am sure she was happy her last months because of you. |
| This makes me cry but also makes me happy that Hope knew you and knew love and had you there with her at the end. I am sure it made a difference to her. Bless you for caring. Yes, the lows of rescue are indeed low. But there will be highs to balance them. So sorry for your loss. Linda Zimmerman |
