^^^^^Great idea!!!! How about a baby doll? I know she probably has a few, but there is nothing like a new baby to play with. |
Leapfrog has lots of educational toys. http://shop.leapfrog.com/leapfrog/jump/ ... Acat800010 |
My niece loved those foam building blocks at that age. Not super small but they do pack nice and neat in a plastic case for storage. My parents keep them at their house and she still plays with them at age 7. |
My nieces and nephews always LOVED when we got them music, because we always tried to find something they wouldn't get from anywhere else. Some of our biggest successes, even at such a young age, were picture books to go with the CDs, like Peter and the Wolf, or the Nutcracker. They LOVED the music, and were always retelling the stories to us when we visited. Have fun! |
Anything related to Leapfrog would be great. My youngest grandchild, Alyssa, turned 3 in Nov and we gave her a Big Hug Elmo, it talks and sings besides hugs. She is an only child as well. She is pretty adapt at anything IT since that is the field her daddy is in. She loved to play with matchbox cars as well....she has for a long time. Good luck coming up with an idea. |
Does she have a tea set yet? My girls loved their princess teaset that came around when the oldest was about that age. They actually still play with it at 9 and 10 years old. Big crayons and a roll of paper are a hit with toddlers. We used to roll out paper, tape it on the coffee table and let the kids draw and scribble to their heart's content. Architectural blocks are awesome. If you do those, pick the bigger size. Play silks are wonderful. At 18 months she'll probably like the texture and colors, and as she grows she'll probably use them for a lot of dress-up and make believe. |
