Hopefully Boreas will be a bust for y'all as it was for us. After days of doom and gloom reporting the winds started howling from the east through the canyon and tore apart Boreas over us. Yes, surrounding areas got snow 8+ inches but for the metro area, near nada. Higher elevations got some snow but I got an inch that was all melted by noon. Those without these topographical abnormalities to keep storms at bay, stay safe. |
We did okay! Lots and lots of rain but no flooding at the house and that is what matters! We literally just finished our house from damage done from Sandy - just yesterday! The Town did put in new drains and raised some of the road and maybe it worked because we had some water in the street but not up into the driveways. Hope everyone else is okay. heard of lots of tornadoes down South and lots of snow up north. Mother Nature must be really pissed off at us! the whole country has been dealing with crazy dangerous weather |
Boreas was big and ugly from California onward, good riddance! Cold end of next week, in mean time, quieter. |
We actually got off easy this time. Predictions were much worse, but the cold air missed the rain so no ice like they thought. The cold has moved in--but sunny and cold so no travel worries! |
We didn't get nearly the snow they initially predicted. That's how it goes with Nor'easters. Hard to predict. Rochester & Buffalo got some good snow, around a foot, but nothing they can't handle. |
