Heart update....still going strong!!!!!
 began her 60 mg. of pred, 2X a day, on Monday Nov.11 (or 12)...She is "Heart" again...running....shurtling....begging for treats...giving me and her daddy kisses and kisses and kisses. I can barely feel her nodes~~~~~~~~   Just wanted all of our wonderful forum friends to know that all your prayers and good thoughts are helping US...tremendously!!!!!    |

| Such great news! I was thinking of Heart last night when Violet tried to shurtle the little doxy that has been visiting us. We were in the bedroom with Violet laying on the floor enveloped in her blanket and pillow bed she makes for herself. China was on the bed with me watching TV and Asia was going in and out of the bedroom and I was giving them some treats. Well the little doxy showed up and ran past Violet and jumped up on me and jumped down and was just going past her when she shurtled at him...she missed him, tg. Anyway, I guess he's learned to never disturb a sheepie when treats are about. lol |

| Had to take Peeps to see vet.............gag ack cough hurl...................hairballs. He asked about Heart. Said to tell you this: The prednisone is tapered down to the lowest possible dose that she feels good. Sometimes these dogs are on prednisone the rest of their life or in the best case scenerios the dog goes into remission. However, every vet tailors the treatment length and dosage based on the dogs response. In her case I would usually give 60 mg 2x a day for 1 week, then 60 mg 1 x a day fo a week, then 30 mg 1 x a day for 2 weeks and reasses. Likely her vet will do something similiar. Lane Dixon, DVM |
